Think of your tan like your favorite outfit! treat it softly and it will stay cute longer. 💃💃💃 ⸻ BEFORE YOUR TAN * Shower and exfoliate at least 24 hours before your appointment. Do not do this right before your appointment! (I can tell, and it will affect your results!) * Start by taking a regular shower, shaving, and washing your hair. At the end, use a damp mitt or exfoliating gloves to scrub your entire body. DO NOT PUT PRODUCT ON THE MITT! The point is to remove all oils, lotions, and dead skin. Rinse with water and come to your appointment with clean, bare skin. * We have wipes available for you to remove deodorant and makeup before your appointment. You do not have to go all day without deodorant! * Waxing needs to be done the day before your appointment. No waxing the day of or after your tan. Retinol and all products with acids (AHA/BHA) should be stopped a week prior to your tan. If your face is peeling, we may recommend skipping your face. ⸻ DURING YOUR TAN Bring loose, dark clothing and loose shoes to wear home. Flip flops are best. No leggings, sports bras or tight jeans, etc. A dress is not recommended unless you want to spend the day making sure your legs do not touch. * After your tan, you will want to avoid skin-to-skin contact. Keep this in mind—will your thighs touch? Does your shirt hang so low your armpit is touching? You need a layer of fabric between your skin because the second your skin is touching, it creates moisture which can cause the tan to transfer. * The type of solution you are tanned with will determine how long you will have to wait before getting wet/rinsing your tan off. It varies from 2 to 12 hours. Your tan needs time to set and during that time you will not be able to get wet. That means no shower or exercise. IT IS HOT IN HOUSTON! You do not want to sweat off the solution or cause streaking so please do not plan to participate in outdoor events before your rinse time. This is especially important for brides. You can workout or swim 24 hours after your tan. * Do not come to your appointment apologizing for smelling funky, not shaving, having cellulite, being overweight, being underweight, having babies, not having your nails done, or having body hair. We allow it and accept it—whatever it is you are thinking, do not apologize for it. ⸻ AFTER YOUR TAN * Your first rinse is an important step. Follow your rinse time instructions carefully (typically 2-12 hours depending on your solution). Use only water for your first shower—no soap, body wash, or scrubbing. * Once you’ve rinsed, your tan will continue developing over the next 24 hours. Try to avoid heavy sweating or soaking during this time so your color can fully set evenly. * Lotion and hydration are key to a long-lasting, even tan. You can start using lotion 24 hours after your rinse and continue morning and night to keep your skin hydrated and help your tan fade smoothly instead of patchy. Remember you can sweat in the gym, but high levels of sweat causes the skin to naturally exfoliate. We do have have sweat proof solutions that can help, so ask! *Drinking water is also KEY 🔑 * Avoid exfoliating or any harsh scrubbing until you are ready for your tan to fully fade. * Swimming, hot tubs, and long baths will cause your tan to fade faster, so limit exposure if you want it to last as long as possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation Policy We understand that life happens, but in order to serve all our clients, we require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. • Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of your appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee. (Deposit is kept) • Cancellations on day of appointment will result in 100% of the service price. • No call/no show will result in a 100% charge of the service price. • One no call/no show will require full payment upfront to book any future appointments. A credit card is required to book your appointment and will be securely stored on file for any applicable fees. Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a smooth schedule for everyone!
